Diversity Focus Employment Opportunities

The Training Manager for Diversity Focus will be involved with the development, delivery and evaluation of diversity and cultural competency learning programs, events, and activities for Diversity Focus. This position reports functionally to the Director of Programs, but may provide support to all activities for the office of Diversity Focus.

AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY:

• Responsible for facilitating the Diversity and Inclusion training program at customer sites as needed.
• Assists with the design and delivery of all Diversity Focus cultural competency program and training offerings.
• Collects diversity and cultural competency training and program evaluations and reports results.
• Assists in developing procedures and processes to support the Diversity Focus diversity and cultural competency learning strategy.
• Researches and reports on trends in diversity and cultural competency learning programs.
• Participates in the development of informational and promotional materials, such as brochures, schedules, or web pages, which promotes Diversity Focus’ program and training offerings.
• Serves as a resource to Diversity Focus training consultants.
• Will participate in projects and initiatives which further the mission of Diversity Focus.
• May schedule, plan and ensure logistical arrangements for training, meetings or other Diversity Focus events.
• Consistently maintains a high level of quality in the performance of Diversity Focus’ training activities and other initiatives.
• Performs related duties as assigned.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS:

Must have demonstrated experience and working knowledge in the following areas:

• Curriculum development, instructional design and facilitation skills.
• Methods, principles, and strategies of adult learning theory.
• Diversity, inclusion and cultural competency programs, training and best practices.
• Knowledge of human resources management
• Special events planning and coordination skills.
• Facilitating a diverse group of individuals dealing with sensitive issues while maintaining a comfortable learning environment.
• Establishing cooperative working relationships while performing assigned work responsibilities and duties.
• Excellent communication skills both orally and in writing
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs including Microsoft Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
• Graduate from an accredited college or university with a 4 year degree in a social or behavioral science or related field. Experience in the coordination or training of AA/EEO, diversity, and intercultural competency learning programs.
